Natural, timeless photos

From timeline building to light scouting, I help you prep early so the day unfolds without chaos. You’ll know exactly what to expect, when portraits will happen, and how we’ll get everything you want photographed—without rushing or guesswork.

Confidence in your choice

I bring a calm, experienced presence to the process. I’ll help you find the best light, choose locations that match your vibe, and give just enough direction to keep you comfortable in front of the camera while still capturing what’s real.

Planning assistance

I share everything I’ve learned from years of weddings to help you avoid the trial-and-error phase. You get expert support early on, so nothing’s left to chance and you can actually look forward to the day.

You don’t need

just a photographer.

You need a calm,

experienced presence

who knows how to

make your day

feel effortless.

Anyone can take pretty pictures. But not everyone can read the room, find the good light in five seconds flat, and guide you through the chaos with quiet confidence. That’s where I come in.

The process

A quick thirty-minute consult helps us make sure we’re the right fit for both of us. It’s a chance to talk through your vision, ask questions, and get a feel for how I work. I want you to feel confident and excited about having me by your side, and I want to feel the same way about documenting your day. If we’re aligned from the start, everything else flows easier.

The consult

This is a big decision, and I don’t believe in pressure. I’ll never rush you to book or push for a fast answer. I want you to weigh your options, ask the questions, and really think about who you want alongside you on one of the most important days of your life. If that ends up being me, amazing. But only reach back out if you’re 100% certain I’m the person you’re most excited to have there. That energy matters.

02.

Take your time

To officially reserve your date, I ask for a 30% non-refundable retainer and a signed contract. The contract is short, clear, and lays out exactly what you can expect from me—and what I’ll need from you. Once both pieces are in place, you're fully booked and the date is yours. After that, we get to start planning the good stuff.

Client goodies and guides

Once you're booked, you'll get everything you need to feel prepared and supported. I’ll send over my full planning guide, engagement session details, and a wedding day questionnaire to help me learn what matters most to you. You'll have tips on timeline building, location ideas, and what to expect at every step. I’m here to make this process feel simple, thoughtful, and actually kind of fun.

Read the FAQ

Do you include an engagement session?

Yes, all booked weddings include an engagement session. It’s a great chance for us to get comfortable working together before the wedding day.

What if we already took engagement photos with someone else?

No problem. You can apply the value of the engagement session toward your wedding day coverage instead. This option is only available if you’ve already had a session. That said, I always recommend doing one together if possible—it’s the perfect low-pressure way to get used to being in front of the camera.

What is your turnaround time?

Engagement sessions are delivered within 1–2 weeks of your session date. Weddings are delivered 5–7 weeks from your wedding date.

Do you share sneak peeks?

Absolutely. You’ll receive sneak peeks within 48 hours of both your engagement session and your wedding day.

“Erin is thoughtful, thorough, and goes above and beyond to make sure that your wedding day moments are captured.

On the day she knew when to check in with us or guide us and when to fade into the background, getting the shots but allowing the moment to unfold naturally. She was great at giving us prompts that created the natural reaction she wanted for a shot, but got us out of our heads about being on camera. Our family and friends also loved working with her at our wedding, and we all love our photo gallery so much! We would definitely recommend Humbly Hewn.”
