Kansas City Wedding Photography Pricing

I know seeing a number with a comma can feel like a gut punch, especially when you're adding up every other vendor. It's normal to feel that initial sticker shock. Wedding photography pricing is typically one of, if not THE main factor for couples booking their vendors.

But remember, payment plans exist for exactly this reason. You don't have to come up with the full amount today, or even next month. We'll work out a plan that actually fits your budget so you can book now and pay as you go.

Find the perfect fit

Kansas City wedding photography packages

If you are getting married, I have coverage options for you. Whether your day is an intimate courthouse ceremony with a cozy restaurant dinner or an all-day, no expenses spared bash of the century, you deserve photos that remind you how it all felt.

Start small

Once you have booked your wedding date, you can always add more time to your coverage later. Start with the smallest amount of coverage you need.

Engagement session

Your engagement session is included with Signature and Luxe packages. Micro and Essential packages can add on a discounted engagement session.

Second photographer

I shoot 90% of my weddings as a fully solo photographer, however some days need more eyes. A second photographer is included in my Luxe package, and is an optional add-on for Micro, Essential and Signature packages.

Take the Coverage Quiz

Let's find your perfect package

How many guests are you expecting?

How many locations will you visit during the day?

Select the option that most closely represents your plans

Where will you be getting ready?

This helps determine coverage needs

Are you planning a first look?

Seeing each other before the ceremony

How large is your wedding party?

Bridesmaids + groomsmen combined

What size family photo list are you envisioning?

Formal group photos after the ceremony

Planning an end-of-night send off?

Sparkler exit, getaway car, etc.

How much dance floor coverage do you want?

I strongly recommend 30 minutes max for budget efficiency

One important note about coverage timing

I require a minimum of 2 hours of coverage before your ceremony start time (unless you're booking micro wedding coverage). This ensures we capture all those beautiful getting-ready moments, details, and pre-ceremony portraits that Gen Z couples love. My professional recommendation is always more coverage at the start of the day rather than 4 hours of open dance floor. Are you comfortable with this approach?

Payment Plans

you can do this

I know how overwhelming the numbers can feel when you're planning a wedding. I grew up without much, and I still buy most of my clothes secondhand, so I'm not here to squeeze every dollar out of you or pressure you into spending more than you can afford. Payment plans exist so you can book the photographer you actually want without draining your savings all at once.

Love that for us!

30% of your selected package is due at signing as a non-refundable retainer. Your remaining balance can be settled in several ways.

Pay your remaining balance in full on or before your wedding date using your client portal.

01.

Simple

I will divide your remaining balance into two 50% payments. The first payment will be due six months from your wedding date. The second payment will be due on or before your wedding date. As an ADHD-haver, I know sometimes having due dates with reminders can be really helpful.

02.

The 50/50

You can use your client portal to choose your own payment amounts as you’re able to make them. Maybe you sold something on Marketplace and have a few extra bucks you can throw at your balance? Awesome. You can pay $20 a week for 3 months, nothing at all for 5 months and then the reest of your balance in full the night before your wedding. As long as your balance is settled before I’m driving to your wedding on the morning of, we’re gucci.

Frequently asked

Okay wait…what are my options again? Check my FAQ when the wedding planning brain fog has kicked in.

  • Your wedding day goes by in a blur. Everyone says it, and they're right. You'll be pulled in ten directions, caught up in moments you won't fully register, and before you know it, it's over. Your photos are the only way to get it back. Not just the big moments—the first look, the vows—but the stuff you missed. Your dad tearing up during your ceremony. Your best friend laughing at a toast. The way your partner looked at you when you weren't paying attention. That's why you hire a professional. Not for pretty pictures you can post, but for a visual record of the day that lets you relive it forever. I've spent almost a decade learning how to capture those moments without you even noticing I'm there. That's what you're investing in—not just a service, but your memories, preserved the way they actually happened.

  • This will depend on your selected collection, but in general all collections will include:

    • A portion of getting ready

    • Details/flatlays and venue details

    • Ceremony

    • Family and wedding party portraits

    • Couple portraits

    • Reception coverage

I suggest including 30 minutes of open dance floor coverage at the end of the night and working backwards in your timeline to determine how much coverage you’ll need

  • Of course! Once you’re booked, your date is in my calendar for good. If you decide you’d like to add additional coverage to your date, my hourly rate is $500/hr.

  • More than likely!

At this point I have photographed scores of weddings in many of the premium downtown Kansas City wedding venues, as well as event spaces across the KC metro. If I somehow haven’t shot at your venue just yet, no worries! So much of your wedding day is going to depend on weather, lighting at certain times of day and even how the foliage in each season changes.

The thing that’s most important is your photographer knowing how to adapt to each scenario, and lucky for you: I’ve seen it all!

  • Let's be real—most people don't have a few thousand dollars sitting around to drop all at once. I don't expect you to.

I ask for 30% upfront as a nonrefundable retainer to secure your date, and the remaining balance is due on or before your wedding day.

How you pay that balance is entirely up to you. You can chip away at it in whatever increments work for your budget, whenever works for you. Or if you'd rather have structure, I can set up a percentage-based payment plan with specific due dates to keep you on track.

Either way, we'll figure out what makes sense for your situation. No judgment, no pressure—just flexibility that actually helps.
